One of the attractive features of fishing out of Port Canaveral is the amazing diversity of fish to chase. The Fish Trap is designed to be able to cover a lot of water quickly and tap into many different types of fishing. Many of our options are seasonal, but there is always some kind of exciting fish to pursue.

Blue water trolling: For Dolphin, Wahoo, Sailfish, Kingfish and the occasional Blue Marlin are found between twenty and forty miles offshore. Feel the fight using 30# class trolling outfits.

Live-bait trolling: Consists of slow trolling live baits around local reefs and wrecks to entice almost everything that swims. Kingfish, Cobia, and the occasional giant Wahoo are suckers for this method. Feel the burning run of a smoker king on 20# tackle. This takes place anywhere from the beach to twenty-five miles out.

Bottom fishing and wreck hopping: Two popular methods. They are often integrated into our other trips to various degrees. Grouper, Snapper, and Cobia are common targets on the bottom as well as many other species.

Sight fishing: For Cobia and Tripletail is a seasonal spring and fall activity. Entice a large Cobia with a jig on spinning tackle and watch them eat it on the surface. This is one of my personal favorites.

Tuna fishing: Experience the other side of the Gulf Stream on a yellowfin tuna trip. A journey for the hardy fishermen, this twelve-hour specialty trip sets out to run and gun for yellowfin tuna approximately 70 to 100 miles offshore.

Inshore coastal fishing: In and around Port Canaveral is a great day of fishing without the rigors of offshore fishing. Use light tackle to catch a wide variety of fish such as snook, redfish, flounder, tripletail, weakfish, sheepshead, black drum, whiting, jacks, bluefish, Spanish mackerel and many more.

FT. Pierce and the Bahamas: Ask the captain about our specialty trips on location. Winter sailfish action in Ft. Pierce and summertime excitement and relaxation in the crystal waters of the Bahamas.

A full day (10hr) trip is $650.00.
A half-day (5hr) trip is $500.00.

TUNA TRIPS (Up to four persons)
A twelve-hour trip for $1400

PORT TRIPS (up to six persons)
A full day (7hr) is $350.
A half-day (4hr) is $250.
